More recently, her performance as Abigail Williams in The Crucible garnered attention, earning her two 2023 Non-Equity Jeff Award nominations for Performer in a Supporting Role and Ensemble in a Play. During the pandemic, Michaela worked as a producer and actor with Zooming the Movies (ZTM), which presented live readings of beloved scripts, featuring actors from around the world (see the ZTM tab for more). Michaela has performed with a variety of Chicago theaters, including City Lit Theater Company, The Artistic Home, Lifeline Theatre, Avalanche Theatre, Trap Door Theatre, Organic Theater, and Facility Theatre.

Re-imagining stories to forge community and envision change, Michaela seeks collaborative projects that adapt classic texts, folklore, and new work.
